Cut

The quality of the cut determines the brilliance and luminosity of the stone. An excellent cut maximizes light reflection—it is the factor that most affects the diamond's appearance.
Carat
Caratage
A measure of the diamond's weight. 1 carat = 0.2 grams. Larger diamonds are rarer, but value is not only proportional to weight — the other 3Cs also influence it.
Clarity
Purity
Evaluates inclusions (internal imperfections) and blemishes (external). Scale from FL (Flawless) to I3. Diamonds without inclusions visible to the naked eye are considered clean and have higher value.
