Currently, it is an icon of love and tradition in the Minho culture and of the female costume of the Senhora d'Agonia festivities, in Viana do Castelo. Enamelling is a very meticulous art form that involves fusing powdered glass to metal, thus creating a smooth and colourful surface, further enhancing the piece itself.
